The Executive Director Rebecca Rhoades, DVM accepted the check and thanked Lindi on behalf of all the animals that would benefit from this wonderful gift. She said that all the animals would get their Christmas presents now.
Dr Rhoades said she was very proud of her new facility built after the devastating Hurricane of 1992. It is now the only pet friendly evacuation shelter in the state. She is also proud of the volunteers in her PALS program that visit the long term care facility several times a month. She said the wonderful thing about shelter dogs is that they are forever grateful to their new owners. Lindi agreed completely because all her dogs have been shelter dogs. Her present dog Hannah is extremely intelligent and loving. Hannah even has her own line of high class dog bowls and clothes called Miss Diva Dog.
