www.FamilyIgloo.com website offers a new social platform for families such as single moms, single dads, couples living together and married individuals. Its mission is to decrease the stress within families by providing better social support through networking with compatible members.
"What makes Family Igloo site different is the theme of family serves as the jumping off point. This site is uniquely focused on creating an environment where family values are expressed. Our members have a safe and secure place to meet and share their similar interest", states Ghassan Gholmieh the website founder and administrator. Gholmieh goes on to say, "our members are forming social groups and forums to discuss various issues and concerns. Those issues range from the performance of their children’s schools and teachers, to families with concerns about children with chronic diseases, and other common family bonds from little league sports to cerebral palsy. Those common family challenges and interests lead to groups being formed to advise each other and share their experiences".
"Our members stay connected with loved ones and hence make their family bonds stronger. Families can make new friends online and in their neighborhood by searching for like-minded and compatible members", says Ghassan Gholmieh. Known as “Gus” to his friends, Gholmieh, says he finds this nickname easier for the members. Gus goes on to say, "I am passionate about what we're doing here, it has added great value to my family’s life, and I am told often by our members about the value it has added for them."
"Family Igloo is where families connect, share, meet up and grow together!"

About Family Igloo
The Family Igloo mission can be summarized
as "Stay connected to your family and get
connected to new compatible families". The
need for such a website arises from our daily
struggle and current life styles. People have
lost the sense of community in big cities, and
young couples with young children have limited
time to connect with their own families and
new interesting families. We hope that this site
will allow families to enforce long distance ties,
get to know their neighborhood, find families
with similar outdoor/indoor hobbies, and share
photos, videos and precious moments with
selected members.
We also hope that families will get to meet each
other in a SECURE environment such as family
excursions, park barbecues, dinning out, birthday
parties, hiking together, mom's night out, father's
night out, and toys exchange/resale.
